How to define your focus question in Contextminds

Last Update 21 dagen geleden

After clicking + New context map, choose "Start from scratch", and enter your question into the text field that appears. This step sets the direction for all your brainstorming, research, and content planning.

A strong focus question helps you filter out irrelevant information and stay on track as you research or create content.

Steps:

  1. Decide your goal
Think about what you're trying to achieve — a blog post, research, content plan, etc. The focus question should reflect this goal.

  2. Formulate one clear question
Use one specific sentence (e.g., "How did Da Vinci influence science?"). Avoid overly broad topics like “Da Vinci.”

  3. You have your first Question item in your map
Contextminds will automatically place your focus question on the whiteboard as the starting point of your map. From here, you're ready to move on to the next step.
