How to Use Filters in the Search Sidebar

Filters help you customize which research sources appear in the "Search" sidebar when exploring topics in ContextMinds.
1. Open the Filters
2. Select or Deselect Filters
3. View Updated Results
- Click on any item in your map.
- The Search Sidebar will display research suggestions.
- At the top of the Search Sidebar, locate the Filters section.
2. Select or Deselect Filters
- To refine the suggestions, tick (select) or untick (deselect) the checkboxes for the sources you want to include or exclude.
- Available sources include:
- Wikipedia topics – Definitions and summaries.
- Community Notes – Notes from other users.
- Your Notes – Previously saved notes from your own maps.
- Top Web Results – General web articles.
- Recent Web Results – The latest articles from the past month.
- Research Papers – Academic papers from SemanticScholar.org.
- Reddit – User discussions and insights.
- AI-Generated Text – Automatically created text (may contain made-up information).
- Keyword Metrics – SEO data from Keywords Everywhere and SpyFu.
3. View Updated Results
- The "Search" sidebar updates automatically as you adjust the filters.
Available sources
For Topics you can select Wikipedia Topics, ChatGPT Generated Topics and Presonal.

For Keywords you can select Frequently Googled Keywords, ChatGPT Generated Keywords and Personal.

For Questions you can select Frequently Googled Questions, ChatGPT Generated Questions and Personal. Also, the questions can be sorted by search volume or keyword difficulty.

For Headings you can select Headings extracted from web, ChatGPT Generated Headings or, Personal.

For Articles you can select Wikipedia abstracts, Web articles (SERP), Recent web articles, Scientific articles, Reddit, Articles generated by ChatGPT or, Personal.

Tip: If you’re looking for specific types of content, enable only the most relevant filters. For example, select research papers for academic sources or Reddit for community discussions.
