How are features limited?
Usage of some of ContextMinds' features is limited by a certain amount of data retrieval per month (or per day if you are a free user). The limits depend on your subscription level - for example, how many AppSumo codes you have stacked.
How can i check my remaining credits?
- Click the Profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Manage subscription.
- Your current subscription limits will be displayed.

What do the different limits mean?
- Keywords & Questions → keyword and question suggestions and suggestion limits for new items added to your map. General Topic suggestions are unlimited even if credits run out.
- Article Searching & AI Paragraphs → Limits suggestions in the left "search" tab. You’ll still see Wikipedia, Reddit, and Scientific Articles when credits are depleted.
- Article Searching & AI Paragraphs → Limits suggestions in the left panel. You’ll still see Wikipedia, Reddit, and Scientific Articles when credits are depleted.
- AI Content Generation → Each time you click Generate Content/Outline, write a prompt, or run a ChatGPT search, 1 credit is used.

When are credits spent?
- Each change in your map updates suggestions (~2 credits per update).
- Selecting an item for the first time or typing in the search tab bar (Add item box).
- Searching for headings also uses article search credits.
Do i lose credits every time i click on my map?
No! ContextMinds caches data for about 24 hours, so repeatedly selecting the same item won't spend credits again. If you reopen the map the next day, credits may still be saved unless you add new items.
How can i save credits?
When you don't need the suggestions or want to save your credits, use the item Frame or Sticky Note for topics or notes. These are not connected to search pannel and no credits are spent when you click on them.
