Ways to create or generate a new map

Creating a new map in ContextMinds is done through the dashboard. There are three ways to start: from scratch, from a prompt, or by generating a map from an existing text.

1. Log into your user account.
2. Navigate to the ContextMinds dashboard.
3. Click + New map to open a drop-down menu with three options:

This method opens a blank map where you can manually add items and explore AI suggestions.

1. Select Start from scratch from the drop-down menu.
2. A blank whiteboard will open.
3. Begin adding your own items and organizing your map.

Use this option for automatic map generation based on your instructions (prompt).

1. Select Generate from prompt from the drop-down menu.
2. A dialog window will appear. Enter your description in the prompt field.
3. (Optional) In the top-right menu, choose a template to define the map's structure:

• Mind Map – A hierarchical visual representation of topics and subtopics.
• Concept Map – A flexible diagram that illustrates relationships between ideas.

• Content Topics Map – A structured outline of topics for content creation.
• Focus Keywords Map – A keyword-driven layout for SEO planning.
• Article Outline – A pre-structured framework for writing an article.
• Website Structure – A sitemap-like representation for website planning.

This method generates a map based on existing content, such as an article or blog post.

1. Select Generate from long text from the drop-down menu.
2. A text box will appear. Paste your article or text.
3. ContextMinds will generate a map highlighting key topics.

After entering the necessary input, click Generate new map. A preview of the generated map will appear. You can:

• Review the map to ensure it meets your needs.
• Modify the input data or provide more detailed instructions if needed.

When satisfied with the draft, click Use this map draft.

Now your map is ready for further customization and refinement!
